Meridian — Password Hash Tool

String → password_hash()

Generates a secure PHP hash using PASSWORD_DEFAULT (bcrypt), ready to insert into the users.password column.

Usage examples
1. Insert or update a user directly:
UPDATE users SET password = '$2y$10$...' WHERE username = 'admin';

2. Or use it in PHP (as done in auth.php):
$hash = password_hash('admin123', PASSWORD_DEFAULT);
password_verify('admin123', $hash); // true

Security note: delete hash.php from the server once you are done — it is a maintenance tool and must not stay on a live site.
